Wimberley Valley Winery
Just a 13-minute drive from Hotel Flora and Fauna, Wimberley Valley Winery is a must-see. Housed in a stunning stone building, it offers a delightful wine-tasting experience. For $12, you can sample five wines of your choice, or pay $18 and take home a souvenir wine glass. The tasting is made even better on the expansive wooden deck, where you can relax on outdoor couches while enjoying fresh air and beautiful views of majestic trees and a manicured lawn. You might even spot a few ponies wandering by! Be sure to check out the unique double-decker bus that’s been transformed into a charming bar area, adding a fun twist to your visit.

Driftwood Estate Winery
Just 16 minutes from the hotel, Driftwood Estate Winery offers a true Texas Hill Country experience. This western-themed winery, with its dark wood interior reminiscent of a saloon, offers tastings for $15, which includes six wines and a souvenir glass. Their wine list, made from 100% Texas grapes, features standouts like the 2016 Longhorn Red, which won “Top Texas Wine” at the Houston International Wine Competition, and the 2017 Chardonnay, known for its tropical notes of pineapple. With breathtaking hilltop views of the vineyard, this is a perfect spot to enjoy Texas wine and the great outdoors.

Duchman Estate Winery
In just 20 minutes, you’ll reach Duchman Family Winery, an upscale European-inspired winery. The stone building is adorned with beautiful vines, creating a picturesque setting for wine lovers. Inside, the elegant tasting room offers views of the 20-acre vineyard through stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. After tasting their exceptional wines, head next door to Trattoria Lisina, a sister restaurant serving classic Italian dishes. Fall Creek Vineyards
Just 20 minutes from Hotel Flora and Fauna, Fall Creek Vineyards has been a Texas Hill Country gem since 1975, producing award-winning wines. As you approach the entrance, you’ll stroll through vibrant flowers toward a charming gated archway. Inside, you’ll find a beautiful building nestled among the trees, featuring cozy seating areas by a large stone fireplace. Enjoy a glass of wine on the screened-in deck, where white-tablecloth-draped tables overlook the lush garden, or step out onto the patio surrounded by greenery.
