Special Trail Features: This trail leads directly to one of the best swimming holes in the Hill Country! After spending awhile exploring the 4.5-mile trail, you’ll want to take a dip.

Old Baldy

Hike Intensity: Difficult

Special Trail Features: The hike to the top of Old Baldy, also known as Lookout Mountain,  requires a trek up 200 steps. However, when you reach the peak, you gain a 360-degree view of Wimberley! It requires a bit more effort, but it’s a view well worth the extra exercise.

Jacob’s Well Natural Area

Special Trail Features: Make sure you wear protective shoes to traverse over the hilly, rocky terrain of this trail. However, when you reach the end of the trail, you’ll arrive at Jacob’s Well, a swimming hole known to be Texas’s second longest submerged cave.
