The Legend Began in 1983
Hotel Flora and Fauna has a rich history that reflects the spirit and growth of Wimberley. Originally built in 1983, the building first served as a mall filled with thrift stores, offering a unique shopping experience to locals and visitors alike. In 2014, it was transformed into a boutique hotel, with the addition of a striking mural by renowned artist Tony Sansavero, further enhancing the property’s charm.
In 2020, new ownership took over, bringing a fresh vision for the Texas Hill Country hotel. The property saw a major renovation in 2022, which included refreshing the furnishings throughout the suites, upgrading all air conditioning systems, and revitalizing the landscaping. The pool area was also completely updated with luxurious Brown Jordan furnishings, adding a touch of elegance to the relaxing outdoor space. Today, Hotel Flora and Fauna offers a seamless blend of Wimberley’s history and modern luxury, making it a premier destination in the heart of town.
